The suicide rate amongst veterinary surgeons in the United Kingdom is almost four times the national average.
“Never underestimate the power of an evil vet nurse.”
Only a few months ago Peter’s practice was thriving, and he was considering hiring an assistant vet. Yet now, not only is he facing bankruptcy, but also a disciplinary hearing where he fully expects to be struck off. Even worse, several cases have gone horribly wrong, and he believes his professional skills have deserted him.
The shame and disgrace are too much to bear.
So on a quiet Sunday morning he drives to his surgery, sits in his chair, hooks himself up to a Pentobarb drip and waits… for the end to come.
“We’ve won. Champagne at your place.”
If only he knew he’d been set up. If only he knew he’d been betrayed.
